I wrote last week and told you about hcg levels dropping and they said I would have a miscarriage. That was on 7-5-08. I still have not bled or anything. What should I do? My doctor keeps pushing it off. How long should I wait to go into the doctor? They have not given me an ultrasound or anything like that so I am confused. Do I need a D&C? Please help!

How pregnant are you? Ususally doctors dont even want to see you until at least 8 weeks. Its really hard, almost impossible to get a heartbeat before then. I was suppossed to be 10 weeks, my babys heart stopped, no movement, and was the size of a seven week embryo. In the beginning of your pregnanacy, from one week to the next, the baby grows so much. They are looking for at least a heartbeat by 8 weeks. They cant D&C you just because your levels are low. Your doc probably will schedule a sono at 8 weeks. Do you "feel" pregnant still? I had a "missed miscarriage", there aren't any of the typical miscarriage signs. Bleeding, cramping, etc. I look back and the only thing I can say is that the "tiredness" and nausea went away. My boobs are still sensitive and swollen. But I dont feel pregnant anymore. My doc thought I miscalculated my conception, so when my embryo was 6 1/2 weeks in size at 8 weeks, he told me to wait 2 more weeks for another sono. Thats when we saw the baby stopped at 7 weeks. So I walked around for a couple of weeks, and never had the signs of miscarriage. I am going in on Weds. for the D&C. i still have no feelings of miscarriage.

I am going into a different doctor on Monday cause the other doctor told me that I will start sooner or later. I was 7 weeks when my levels started going down. The doctor told me that it was a miscarriage cause there was no other logical explanation why my levels went down. My belly seems to me like it is bigger. My husband has even told me that. I didn't have nausea. I am always tired still but the doctor said I couldn't be pregnant anymore. I will let you know more on Monday.
