My name is Kim, I'm 24 years old and I have no kids. Not necessarily by choice. I have had one miscarriage and believe I'm having my second now. My first one was in August 2007 and when I went to the doctor they told me I was basically crazy and didn't believe me I had one. My friend went to school to be a medical assistant, and had several miscarriages herself. After describing what had happened to me, how my panties and pants got soaked from a clear liquid she ordered me to get ads, and explained its a miscarriage. Since then I have been using pads afraid it was happening again. I don't know what to do, I don't want to go to the hospital I hate going there, and I don't have insurance so I can only go to east hill wich is the doctor I went to last time. What is weird about the miscarriage is the fact that before my first one I took a test and it did nothing. Didn't say pegnant didn't say not pregnant not one single line showed up on it then the next day I was bleeding. This time 6weeks ago I took a test and just the control line worked saying the test worked but the line for not pregnant didn't show and neithe did the line for pegnant. Help!?

i am 42 yrs old mother of 3 kids, 21, 15 and 3 yrs old. i just suffered my 1st miscarriage last weekend (7/12/08).it was devasting for me and my husband. my ob/gyn kept saying its because of the my eggs being old that is why i miscarried and that hollywood glamorizes getting pregnant at an older age. excuse me?? I was livid when she told me this. firstly, its her own opinion i really hated her generalizing. needless to say we will try again. but i am terrified having another miscarriage. how long should i wait? my doc said to wait until after my 1st mentrual cycle. any older moms out there have the same thing happen to them and were able to conceive successfully and carrying a healthy baby to term???

I am 1 of 5 kids. My mom suffered 3 miscarriages in between all of us. She had a miscarriage at 40-41, she then went on to have my "baby" brother at 42, he was born on Christmas Day! That was 18 years ago! He is 6' 2" , happy, healthy and the best kid ever. We are now 35,30,27,24 and 18.
